Remove AI metadata from your Samsung Galaxy photos
When you use Galaxy AI generative edit, Samsung saves a C2PA manifest in the photo saying it was edited with AI, plus the phone model and location. Other apps and networks read that data. ai-wr removes it from your phone or computer browser.
What ai-wr finds and removes
- Samsung C2PA manifest ("AI-generated content")
- Phone details: model, date and GPS
- Trailer data added by the Samsung Gallery
The visible sparkle icon Samsung adds in the corner of the photo is part of the image: ai-wr does not remove it.

JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF · one or hundreds · you can also paste with Ctrl+V
Your photos are never uploaded: everything happens in your browser.
Step by step
- 1
On your phone, open ai-wr.com in the browser and pick the photo from your gallery.
- 2
ai-wr shows the Samsung C2PA manifest, the phone model and the GPS location.
- 3
Download the clean copy; if the photo has the visible sparkle icon, that stays in the image.
About Samsung Galaxy AI
What is Samsung's "AI-generated content" tag?
It is the mark Galaxy AI adds to photos edited with generative features: a C2PA manifest inside the file and, on some, a visible icon in the corner. ai-wr removes the manifest; the icon is part of the image.

What it detects
What each AI hides in your files
Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok read this data to add "made with AI" labels. ai-wr removes it. Invisible watermarks in the pixels (last column) are not metadata and are not removed.
| Tool | Metadata ai-wr removes | Pixel watermark (not removed) |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT · DALL·E | C2PA signed by OpenAI (sometimes 2 manifests) | SynthID |
| Gemini · Nano Banana · Imagen | Google C2PA + IPTC "Made with Google AI" | SynthID and visible sparkle |
| Adobe Firefly · Photoshop | Adobe C2PA + XMP history | TrustMark (optional) |
| Midjourney | IPTC trainedAlgorithmicMedia, prompt and Job ID | None known |
| Meta AI | IPTC trainedAlgorithmicMedia | Own invisible and visible marks |
| Copilot · Designer · Bing | Microsoft C2PA | Possible (InvisMark) |
| Flux · Runway · Canva · Ideogram | Provider C2PA | Varies |
| Stable Diffusion · ComfyUI · NovelAI | Prompt, seed, model and workflow in PNG text | NovelAI: data in alpha |
| Fotos de celular | GPS, model, serial number, date; C2PA on Pixel and Galaxy | — |
How it works
Metadata out. Pixels intact.
-
01
You drop your images
One or hundreds, from your computer or phone. They are read inside your browser: nothing is uploaded to any server.
-
02
ai-wr finds the metadata
It walks through the file block by block and tells you what it carried: C2PA, AI source, prompts, GPS, camera, author.
-
03
It removes only what is extra
It builds a new file with the same image data, byte for byte. Orientation and color profile are kept.
-
04
It verifies, you download
It re-scans the result and compares the pixel fingerprint. Download one by one or everything in a ZIP.
What ai-wr does not do
We would rather tell you up front.
- It does not remove invisible watermarks inside the pixels, such as SynthID (Google and OpenAI), Meta AI's, TrustMark (Adobe) or TikTok's. They are designed to identify AI content and survive edits.
- It does not remove visible marks (like the Gemini sparkle) or fool platform visual detectors: an AI image may still be recognized.
- It does not exempt you from disclosing AI use when the law or the platform requires it (for example, political ads or realistic people on Meta).
100% free and ad-free, forever.
ai-wr has no accounts, ads or limits, and never uploads your photos. If it saved you time, you can help keep it that way with a contribution via Mercado Pago.
Charged in Mexican pesos; your bank converts the amount. Credit and debit cards accepted through Mercado Pago, no account needed.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. ai-wr processes everything inside your browser. Images never leave your device, and after the first visit the tool even works offline.
Do they lose quality?
Not in lossless mode (the default): metadata blocks are removed and the image data is copied byte for byte. ai-wr checks this with a SHA-256 fingerprint of the image data before and after, and shows it as "Pixels intact".
Which metadata does it remove?
C2PA (Content Credentials), XMP with the IPTC source type (trainedAlgorithmicMedia), IPTC and Photoshop resources, EXIF (GPS, camera, serial number, author, date, thumbnail), Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Fooocus, InvokeAI and NovelAI text, comments, and file names that reveal the source. It keeps orientation and the color profile so the image looks the same.
Does it remove SynthID or the "AI info" label on Facebook and Instagram?
It removes the metadata that Meta and other networks read (C2PA and IPTC), but not SynthID or other invisible watermarks in the pixels, and it does not fool visual classifiers. A platform may still detect that an image is AI-generated. ai-wr does not promise otherwise.
Is it legal?
Removing metadata from your own images is legal and a common privacy practice. Do not use it to strip credit from other people's images or to deceive anyone. Some laws (like the EU AI Act) and platforms (like Meta for political ads or realistic people) require you to disclose AI-generated content: removing metadata does not exempt you.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF are cleaned losslessly. HEIC and AVIF are converted to JPG if your browser can open them (Safari opens HEIC). Drop one image or hundreds at once.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, on iPhone and Android, in the browser. Pick photos from your gallery and download them clean. For large batches a computer is better.
How can I check the result?
ai-wr re-scans every file after cleaning it. You can also upload the result to contentcredentials.org/verify or inspect it with exiftool: no manifest or AI source type should appear.
Why is it free?
Because everything runs in your browser, ai-wr costs almost nothing to run. If it saves you time, you can support it with a voluntary contribution via Mercado Pago. It is optional and changes nothing in the tool.
